Desoto Police seeking suspect in PNC Bank robbery

DESOTO, TEXAS – Desoto Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a PNC Bank on the afternoon of June 10.

Police were called to the PNC Bank on Hampton Road shortly after 4:00 PM Friday where multiple eyewitnesses said that the robber walked into the bank and up to one of the teller windows where he demanded money.

Officials said no weapon was displayed.

The suspect, described as a heavy-set white male believed to be in his late 50’s to early ’60s with a “salt and pepper beard,” is believed to be the same suspect that robbed a PNC Bank in Arlington, Tx on June 8.

In the PNC Bank robbery that took place on Hampton Road, officials say the man wore a navy-blue hoodie and prescription eyeglasses. He was estimated to be between 5’10” and 6’ft tall and is believed to weigh between 275-300 lbs.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been notified and police stress that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation and if anyone has any information that could help with the investigation or that anyone who may recognize the suspect call the Southwest Regional Communications Center (SWRCC) at 972-223-6111.
