In a bid to shed light and spread awareness on the issues surrounding homelessness in Dallas County, local non-profit Where Are You Outreach hosted its annual Celebrity Fashion Show with the Stars, Awards, and Fundraiser.
In order to bring awareness to the issues surrounding the homeless population of Dallas County, Where Are You Outreach hosted a star-studded event to help raise awareness and funds.
The event was held at VIVO Dallas on Sunday, August 27, and is dedicated to the eradication of homelessness and well-being of the Dallas homeless community.
Founded by local community leader LeTia Owens, who is an author, stylist to the stars, and entrepreneur, the foundation was born out of her own trials and obstacles experiencing homelessness.
Owens experienced homelessness and has unapologetically told her story of what it was like to live out of her car.
Having triumphed over this ordeal, Owens has since committed herself wholeheartedly to tending to the needs of the homeless, channeling her time, skills, and resources without reservation.
Stepping into the limelight, the Celebrity Fashion Show illuminated the cream of the crop in the local fashion, design, and modeling sectors.
With the presence of celebrity influencers and community figures, the event’s runway not only exuded glamour but also generated crucial funds for a cause that truly matters.
Among the lineup of anticipated celebrity and influencer models were notable individuals such as Laterras Whitfield, an Emmy-nominated producer and the visionary behind the acclaimed Dear Future Wifey podcast; philanthropic plus-size celebrity model Anita Hawkins; wellness advocate Priya Patel of Sanctum Med Wellness; J. Cruz, a well-known Radio Personality; along with Annia Jenkins, Keith Solis, K.C. Foxx, and a host of other guests.
