September is the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month and the city of DeSoto is kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting a free festival celebrating Hispanic heritage, and everyone is invited to the festivities.

The festival will take place at the DeSoto Amphitheater on Saturday, September 16, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Entertainment for the festival includes local and national Latin recording artists such as Sunny Sauceda Y Todo Eso, La Dezz, Rey Reyna, DJ Ramon, and Lil Frankie.

Lil Frankie has won the title of Best On-Air Radio Personality of the Year.

Attendees are in for a treat as the festival promises an authentic immersion into Hispanic heritage.

Traditional melodies, folk dances, and delectable Hispanic cuisine will grace the event, complemented by the stirring melodies of mariachi bands and the rhythmic allure of salsa dancing.

The celebration will also feature stalls adorned with the creations of local artisans, offering a glimpse into their artistic prowess.

Interactive exhibits will further illuminate the historical and cultural tapestry of Hispanic traditions.

There will be convenient off-site parking and shuttle bus services at Disciple Central Community Church, located at 901 N. Polk Street, situated at the intersection of Pleasant Run and Polk Street.

Starting at 5 p.m., shuttle buses will commence pickups for attendees utilizing remote parking at the Disciple Central Community Church.

These shuttles will transport visitors to the event location at the DeSoto Amphitheater.

The shuttle service will maintain a continuous loop, shuttling attendees from the event site back to the remote parking area throughout the evening until 11 PM.
