The city of DeSoto unveiled its first ever sculpture on the Roy Orr Trail at Ernie Roberts Park on Saturday, Sept. 23.

City officials, residents of DeSoto and ranking member of the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court, John Wiley Price all joined together to witness the momentous occasion.

It was all smiles as the city unveiled the beautiful sculpture created by Austin area artist Olaniyi R. Akindiya Akirash’s.

The sculpture, titled “PALABRA-WORDS,” will be gracing the Roy Orr Trail for years to come.
