The Dallas Cowboys demolished the New England Patriots at home 31-3 to improve to 3-1 in the season.
It was not the emotional return that former Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was looking for as the Cowboy’s defense stifled the Patriots’ offense early and often.
In a display of dominance, the Dallas Cowboys delivered a 38-3 blowout victory over the New England Patriots, improving their season record to 3-1.

But the Boys didn’t stop there, adding a two-point conversion on the ensuing fake field goal pass from punter Bryan Anger to defensive end Chauncey Golston to extend the Cowboys’ lead further.
Before heading into halftime, cornerback DaRon Bland intercepted a pass, delivering a pick-six with just 54 seconds remaining in the first half.
Bland continued to haunt the Patriots, picking off Jones again in the third quarter, this time with 11:43 left on the clock.
By then, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had seen enough of Jones’s dismal performance and replaced him for backup QB Bailey Zappe late in the third quarter.
The Patriots’ offense, underwhelming throughout the game, struggled to gain traction, leading to a lopsided score in favor of the Cowboys.
Under the leadership of defensive coordinator Dan Quentin, the Cowboys’ defense has become one of the best at taking the ball away from opposing offenses since 2021.
The Cowboys offense, at times, moved the ball at will against the Patriots, amassing 377 total yards, 253 in the air, and 124 running the ball.
Dak Prescott finished the game completing 28 of 34 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown, Tony Pollard finished with 11 carries for just 47 yards on the ground, and Jake Ferguson caught seven passes for 77 yards receiving.
The Cowboys moved the ball but were only able to score in the red zone one time on a 5-yard touchdown run by fullback Hunter Luepke.
The Cowboys handed Belichick the worst loss of his coaching career.
