The city of DeSoto is hosting its annual city trash cleanup day, sponsored by the DeSoto Parks and Recreation Department.
Keep DeSoto Beautiful, a dedicated local organization committed to enhancing the city’s environmental quality, is once again spearheading the Annual Trash Pick-Up Day.
This community-driven event is set to rally residents and volunteers for a day of action as they come together to clean up and beautify DeSoto.
Scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M., the Annual Trash Pick Up Day aims to tackle litter and debris across various neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces.
With a focus on sustainability and civic pride, Keep DeSoto Beautiful is inviting individuals, families, and organizations to join hands in helping keep DeSoto clean.
The event promises a rewarding opportunity for residents to actively contribute to a cleaner, greener DeSoto actively, fostering a sense of unity and responsibility within the community.
Trash pickups and meetups will be at the following locations:
- 1304 W. Beltline Rd.
- 1500 N. Polk St.
- 108 Parkerville Rd.
- 901 N. Polk St.
All supplies, such as gloves, bags, and pickers will be provided by the city to volunteers.
In addition, t-shirts featuring the new Keep DeSoto Clean logo, designed by local student Madison Parker, will be for sale for $5.
Proceeds from the sale of the shirts will go towards future KDC initiatives.
