The DeSoto Area Chamber is teeing up for its highly anticipated 2023 Open Golf Tournament, which promises to be a premiere fun-filled event.
The event will be a day full of golfers, camaraderie, and opportunities for local businesses to shine.
This event is one of many set to be a highlight on the Chamber’s calendar.
“The Golf Tournament is one of our Annual Events that we have done for years,” said Vanessa Sterling, President and CEO of the Desoto Area Chamber.
“As one of the top five most influential cities in the DFW area, the City of DeSoto has once again redefined the ideas centered around business and the intentionality of doing business in the Best Southwest,” said Sterling.
The tournament, set for Friday, Oct. 20, will take place at the prestigious Thorntree Golf Club located at 825 W. Wintergreen Road in DeSoto.
The event offers a chance for both golf enthusiasts and businesses to get involved and connect with each other.
“The DAC’s goal is to bring our business community into partnership with each other so that we can continue to provide small businesses and microenterprises the opportunity to showcase their goods and services and clearly define their target audience,” said Sterling.
Playing begins at 8:30 a.m. and golfers can look forward to breakfast and lunch as part of the event, with awards ceremonies starting at 1:30 p.m.
This tournament isn’t just about golf; it’s also a prime opportunity for businesses to showcase themselves.
The DeSoto Area Chamber welcomes sponsors to join in, offering various packages with valuable benefits.
The Chamber will also be raffling off prizes, such as gift cards and baskets, to enhance the event experience.
The raffle will be held during the dinner and award presentation.
As one of the Chamber’s largest events, the 2023 Open Golf Tournament holds the promise of being the best yet.

“Since our rebranding earlier this year, the DAC has diligently worked to walk out our mission to Support our members, bring them Networking opportunities, Advocacy when needed, education on the various ways to Stimulate their businesses for continued economic growth, and to Inform them of multiple opportunities that are available for scale and capacity building.
