For the first time since 2011, the Texas Rangers are headed back to the American League Championship Series after defeating the Baltimore Orioles 7-1 on Tuesday in Arlington.
It was a packed house as Rangers fans showed up and showed out in full support of the ball club’s quest to win it all.
To add to the already hyped crowd, the Rangers played the smash hit Higher by Creed throughout the stadium.
The Rangers hit on all cylinders against the Orioles as Corey Seager and Adolis García homered early on.
The crowd went wild when Seager homered to right field in the first inning with one out off of Orioles starting pitcher Dean Kremer.
The Rangers scored again in the bottom of the second off of a two-run double from Mitch Garver to make it 3-0 early on in an elimination game for the Orioles.
Garcia homered next, electrifying the crowd with a three-run home run shot that gave the Rangers a 6-0 lead.
Baltimore scored a run off of a Gunner Henderson line drive to left field to give the Orioles their only score of the game.
Texas would score one more time on a Nathaniel Lowe home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to make it 7-1.
The Ranger’s pitching could do no wrong as Nathan Eovaldi pitched through seven innings, garnering seven strikeouts and allowing just five hits.
Texas has won every playoff game this season, having won four on the road.
Texas will face either the Houston Astros or the Minnesota Twins for a chance to punch their ticket to the World Series.
