As the holiday season approaches, DeSoto is gearing up for a series of signature events for many residents to fill their hearts with joy and spread the magic of Christmas.
Here are the dates for festive events happening in DeSoto.
December 2: Festive Movie Night
Kicking off the festivities on Dec. 2 is the enchanting “Polar Express Movie Night” at the Amphitheater, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Families are invited to bring their favorite snacks, blankets, and good vibes for an epic night of laughter and excitement while watching the classic film.
December 4: Christmas Block Party & Tree Lighting
On Dec. 4, the Town Center will come alive with the “Block Party, Tree Lighting, and Ribbon Cutting” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
There will be special guest performances during the annual Tree Lighting ceremony.
December 9: Festive Arts & Crafts
For those seeking a crafty celebration, help Santa by making arts and crafts at the “Christmas Craft Making at Santa’s Workshop” on Dec. 9 at the Town Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
It offers the perfect opportunity to create handmade holiday wreaths and find unique gifts for friends and family.
December 23: A Christmas Musical
On Dec. 23, the Corner Theatre will host a “Christmas Musical” at 7:00 p.m., promising a magical night of music and festive cheer. Admission is $10 for ages 3 to 11 and $15 for ages 12 and up.
The Town Center offers various activities every weekend from Nov. 25 to Jan. 7, including a ‘Holiday Train Ride,’ ‘Face Painting,’ ‘Paint and Party,’ and ‘Fun with Christmas Characters and Games’ on select dates.
