The city of DeSoto is experiencing a welcome surge in economic activity as several new businesses prepare to set up shop.

This development marks a positive trend for local commerce, creating opportunities for employment and enhancing the community’s retail landscape.

A new medical clinic called the Beulah Family Medical Clinic is being built in the city to give more options for people wanting to stay closer to home when seeking medical assistance.

The clinic is positioned next to the Dollar General store on Hampton Road.

Oncor Energy has built a new facility off of Pleasant Run Road. City officials and members of Oncor held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 7.

Businesses such as Waffle House now have two locations in DeSoto, with a brand-new location having been built off Beltline Road next to Taco Bell and the new Beef A Roo.

Famous Master Chef Tiffany Derry is opening up a Roots Chicken Shak right off Hampton Road. This will be the third location in North Texas.  

As DeSoto continues to attract diverse businesses, residents can expect sustained growth and development.
