DeSoto kicked off the Christmas season with a Christmas block party and tree lighting ceremony on Monday, Dec. 4 that saw hundreds of people come out to celebrate.

DeSoto still has plenty of fun activities for friends and families to do before the festive season ends.

December 9: Festive Arts & Crafts

For those seeking a crafty celebration, help Santa by making arts and crafts at the “Christmas Craft Making at Santa’s Workshop” on Dec. 9 at the Town Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

It offers the perfect opportunity to create handmade holiday wreaths and find unique gifts for friends and family.

December 23: A Christmas Musical

On Dec. 23, the Corner Theatre will host a “Christmas Musical” at 7:00 p.m., promising a magical night of music and festive cheer. Admission is $10 for ages 3 to 11 and $15 for ages 12 and up.

From Nov. 25 to Jan. 7, the town center will be hosting a ‘Holiday Train Ride,’ ‘Face Painting,’ ‘Paint and Party,’ and ‘Fun with Christmas Characters and Games’ on select dates.
