A team of health and wellness professionals, including Vicki Smith-Lockhart, M.Ed., LPC; Melodi Parker, LPC-S, NCC; Dr. Tracey Dorsey; and Alton Maiden, has united to establish a transformative multi-operational facility in DeSoto.
With a mission to address community well-being comprehensively, the center aims to cater to physical, mental, and emotional health needs.
Located at 1229 E. Pleasant Run Rd., #220, DeSoto, the facility aims to address DeSoto residents mental health needs.
Vicki Smith-Lockhart, owner of Locksmith Counseling & Consulting Services, emphasized the holistic approach the center adopts.
“At Locksmith Counseling, we love helping people understand the things that are holding them back with an in-depth approach,” said Smith-Lockhart.
“Our practice specializes in trauma, couples counseling, and adolescent counseling. Teaming up with Mending Broken Pieces, Dr. Dorsey, and Alton Maiden, we aim to guide our clients to more whole, fulfilled lives.”
Services provided at the facility encompass mental health services, including counseling, therapy (EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and support groups; physical training, offering fitness classes, personalized training programs, and group workouts; mindfulness practices, featuring meditation, yoga, and relaxation exercises; and functional medicine, with nutrition plans and lifestyle interventions addressing root causes of health issues.
Melodi Parker, owner of Mending Broken Pieces Counseling & Consulting Services, expressed her enthusiasm for the facility’s unique approach.

Spanning 1,250 square feet, the facility features multiple spaces designed to enhance the total wellness experience.
The collaborative efforts of practitioners, each representing diverse modalities, make this one-stop wellness shop an innovative and essential addition to the community’s health landscape.
