It’s not often that citizens of a decent populated city can ice skate with their elected officials, but in DeSoto, residents will be able to do just that.

Get ready to glide into the holiday spirit with a community ice skating event like no other.

Residents in DeSoto can close out the year with a community event that continues to promote what the holiday season is all about.

DeSoto residents are invited to participate in a community ice skating extravaganza, “Move With The Mayor,” hosted by Mayor Rachel Proctor in collaboration with The National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention.

The event will unfold at the enchanting DeSoto on Ice, Ice Skating Rink, promising a joyful atmosphere for community members to celebrate the holiday season and welcome the new year.

This free and inclusive event warmly welcomes DeSoto residents, DeSoto ISD students, and students attending schools within DeSoto city limits.

Join the mayor along with city officials at the picturesque DeSoto Town Center (211 E. Pleasant Run Rd., DeSoto, TX 75115) on Saturday, Dec. 30.

 There are two time slots to choose from, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Mark your calendars, bring friends and family, and make unforgettable winter memories together.

Don’t miss out!
