The DeSoto Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball team (16-5) continues their impressive performance, sinking their talons into their opponents, defeating the Mansfield Lakeridge Eagles Tuesday, 68-29.

DeSoto dominated Mansfield from start to finish, pushing their winning streak to five games.

Led by sophomores forward Amari Byles, guard Amayah Garcia, and forward Kamora Pruitt, the Lady Eagles controlled the tempo against Lakeridge, notching another district win.

The trio of sophomore players orchestrated a well-controlled game against Lakeridge in the dominating win.

Currently ranked 3rd in district play, DeSoto follows cross-town rival Cedar Hill and top-ranked Duncanville High School.

The Lady Eagles, primarily composed of sophomores, remain one of the most dominant teams in Class 6A Div. II basketball.

For their next challenge, DeSoto travels to Cedar Hill to take on the Longhorns on Friday.

Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
