Known for its commitment to diversity and community spirit, DeSoto is set to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a special celebratory event.
On Jan.12, at 7 p.m., residents and visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the artistic brilliance of the Dallas Black Dance Theatre as they stage a captivating performance dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King.
The MLK Holiday Performance takes place at DeSoto High School inside the Fred Nickels Auditorium and promises to be a visual and emotional journey.
The dance will showcase the powerful storytelling and cultural resonance that the Dallas Black Dance Theatre is known for.
The dance troupe’s artistry will serve as a poignant expression of Dr. King’s enduring impact on the fight for equality and justice.
Eventgoers will also be able to enjoy performances by the DeSoto A Cappella Choir.
Tickets for this performance are priced at $10 for General Admission and $5 for Seniors 65+ and Students.
