DeSoto dismantled Skyline, holding the Lady Raiders to just to just 16 first half points as DeSoto led Skyline 45-16 at halftime.

DeSoto kept its foot on the gas and steamrolled to a dominating win to push its winning streak to nine.

The Lady Eagles are in second place in district play, just behind Duncanville, whom they avenged their only loss in the district last Tuesday.

In the last two games, the Lady Eagles have dominated their opponents by outscoring them 134-37 and continue to fly high in district play.

DeSoto continues to dominate district play and looks to win another championship with one of the youngest teams in the 6A Division II district.

Last season, the Lady Eagles came close to advancing to the finals but fell short in the semifinals as they had the youngest team in their district, filled with nearly all freshmen.

Next up, DeSoto will face Waxahachie at home. The last time these two teams met was in Waxahachie as the Lady Eagles defeated the Indians 66-27.

Tip-off begins at 6 p.m. at DeSoto High School Friday, Jan. 26.
