The Lady Eagles are in a league of their own as they continue to dominate their district opponents, this time defeating the Mansfield Legacy Broncos 71-32.

DeSoto extended its winning streak to 11 after blowing out the Lady Broncos, as well as much of their district foes, which is a common occurrence at DHS.

The Lady Eagles’ stellar defense has not allowed any more than 53 points against their opponents, and that score only came from cross-town rival Cedar Hill.

Since garnering wins over Cedar Hill and Duncanville, DeSoto has held its opponents to a combined score of 99 points.

DeSoto has outscored their opponents with a whopping 273 points and continues to close in on Duncanville in district play.

The Lady Eagles have enthralled the DeSoto faithful with the dominant play it displays, even with DeSoto Mayor Rachel Proctor in attendance.

Proctor attended Tuesday night’s game and took to social media to praise the Lady Eagles’ latest performance.

With just three games left in the regular season, DeSoto looks to finish strong heading into the playoffs, where they seek to earn a third championship in four years.

DeSoto was crowned 6A State Champions in 2021 and again in 2022, winning back-to-back state titles.

The Lady Eagles fell just short of winning its third straight title in 2023 but seek to correct that loss this year.

Up next for the Lady Eagles, they travel to Mansfield to take on Lake Ridge.

Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
