The City of DeSoto is set to honor a local hero by renaming the prestigious DeSoto Fire Training Center in his honor.

The city is set to honor Joe Brown, a dedicated firefighter with a longstanding tenure, is set to be honored for his significant contributions to the community and the DeSoto Fire Department.

This significant event is scheduled for March 27, from 10 am to 12 pm, at the training facility located at 501 E. Wintergreen Rd.
