The Family Place, Texas’ largest family violence service agency, is proud to announce Tiffany Tate (McDaniel) as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Tate has been with The Family Place for a decade and brings extensive experience and dedication to her new role.

She initially joined The Family Place in 2014 as Vice President of Non-Residential Services and over the years she has made significant contributions serving as Chief Operating Officer and interim CEO.

“After a thorough search for the ideal leader to propel The Family Place into the future, we are immensely proud and excited to appoint Tiffany as our new Chief Executive Officer,” stated Harold Ginsburg, chairman of The Family Place Board of Directors.

“Tiffany’s illustrious career, marked by over two decades in nonprofit social services, showcases her relentless dedication to uplifting the most vulnerable in our society.”

Prior to her tenure at The Family Place, Tate spent 20 years supporting abused women and children, individuals with severe mental illness, and homeless populations.

Throughout her time at The Family Place, Tate has spearheaded several groundbreaking initiatives and has played a key role in the design, development, and implementation of the nation’s first shelter for men and children.

She was instrumental in securing The Family Place as the Domestic Violence High-Risk Team for Dallas County and developing the first shelter with an animal kennel to support victims fleeing with pets.

Tate holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Spelman College and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

“Through my work at The Family Place over the past decade, I have witnessed firsthand the resilience and strength of the survivors we serve, as well as the unwavering dedication of our team,” said Tate.

“I am deeply honored to serve as CEO and am eager to continue building on our strong foundation of critical services that help survivors find safety and hope for the future.”
