The DeSoto Area Chamber of Commerce is set to host a welcoming reception for the city’s new City Manager, Majed Al-Ghafry.
The event will take place on Monday, July 29, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thorntree Country Club.
The reception is a highly anticipated event organized by the past chairs of the DeSoto Area Chamber of Commerce.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet Al-Ghafry while enjoying a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres.
The event aims to foster community engagement and introduce Al-Ghafry to DeSoto residents and local business leaders.
Al-Ghafry steps into his new role with a wealth of experience in public administration and is already making local headlines, releasing a statement refuting rumors that the city supports the proposed lithium battery facility near DeSoto High School.
His appointment marks a significant milestone for DeSoto as the city looks forward to his leadership in continuing to drive community growth and development.
