The DeSoto Police and Fire Departments have released their weekly incident reports for July 14 to July 20.
The DeSoto Police Department reported a total of 2,044 calls during the week and the majority of these were neighborhood patrol calls, which accounted for 640 incidents.
Directed patrol calls followed, with officers responding to 342 incidents.
Additionally, the police department handled 253 business calls and responded to 64 animal-related calls.
Other notable calls included 61 calls regarding suspicious activities and 222 traffic-related incidents.
The DeSoto Fire Department also released its weekly fire run report, documenting various incident responses.
The department responded to a total of 148 rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) incidents.
Other responses included 20 good intent calls and 11 service calls.
The department also attended to 6 false alarms, 3 hazardous condition incidents, and 2 fires.
The report is meant to highlight the continuous efforts of the police department and fire department in managing a wide range of emergencies and service calls.
