DeSoto is gearing up for a night of family fun as the city prepares to host the 2024 National Night Out at the Shops and Restaurants of DeSoto Market Place.
The event, set for Tuesday, August 6, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, promises a range of activities aimed at fostering community spirit and strengthening police-community partnerships.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign and is celebrated across the country to promote police-community partnerships.
This year, the event will feature a variety of attractions, including a water slide, bounce house, face painting, games, and the chance to explore the offerings of 11 local restaurants.
The event will be held at the DeSoto Market Place a central hub for residents to gather, enjoy activities, and engage with local law enforcement in a positive and relaxed setting.
Last year, DeSoto’s National Night Out took place at DeSoto East Middle School and attracted a multitude of residents.
National Night Out events are a staple in communities nationwide, allowing residents to connect with their neighbors and local law enforcement officers.
The goal is to foster a safer, more united community through open dialogue and shared experiences.
