DeSoto Police and Fire Weekly Call Reports for Aug. 25-31

The DeSoto Police and Fire Departments have released their call volume and incident reports for the week of August 25 to August 31.

The DeSoto Police Department responded to a total of 2,125 calls during this period.

Neighborhood patrol calls were the most frequent, with 608 recorded instances followed by 389 directed patrol calls.

Business-related calls totaled 238, while there were 312 traffic-related calls.

Additionally, the department responded to 61 animal-related calls and 42 calls concerning suspicious activity.

Meanwhile, the DeSoto Fire Department reported various incidents during the same week.

The department responded to 147 rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) calls.

There were 26 good intent calls and 21 service calls.

Other incidents included 14 false alarms, one fire-related call, three hazardous condition responses, and one overpressure, rupture, explosion, or overheating incident.

These reports provide a comprehensive overview of the public safety efforts in DeSoto.

The report is meant to highlight the continuous efforts of the police department and fire department in managing a wide range of emergencies and service calls.
