SAN ANTONIO – It didn’t take long for DeSoto High School to get back into the winning column as the Eagles soared to victory over Corpus Christi Miller 57-21 in San Antonio at the Alamodome.

In another highly anticipated non-district clash DeSoto showcased their dominance over Corpus Christi Miller on Friday night.

From the opening kickoff, DeSoto set the tone with their aggressive play.

The Eagles’ offense, led by quarterback Kelden Ryan, quickly found their rhythm.

Ryan connected with wideout Daylon Singleton for multiple touchdowns, including a stellar 42-yard pass that ended the third quarter with a commanding 57-14 lead.

Miller, known for their speed and athleticism, struggled to keep pace with DeSoto’s relentless attack.

Despite the challenging night, Miller’s running back Broderick Taylor provided some bright spots for the Buccaneers.

Taylor scored all three of Miller’s touchdowns, including a 61-yard run in the third quarter.

DeSoto’s defense played a crucial role in their victory, consistently pressuring Miller’s quarterback and forcing turnovers.

The Eagles’ defense stifled Miller’s offensive efforts, holding the Buccaneers to just 21 points and maintained control throughout the game.

DeSoto will host Mesquite on Friday, Sept. 20.

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
