DeSoto Dominates Mesquite in Homecoming Performance

The DeSoto Eagles are soaring high after celebrating their homecoming with a dominating victory defeating the Mesquite Skeeters 71-0 on Friday night at Eagle Stadium.

The Eagles are no stranger to high scoring as they controlled the game from start to finish.

DeSoto scored quickly and often as quarterback Kelden Ryan led the charge, rushing for 38 yards and a touchdown, and throwing for 131 yards on just nine passes.

The Eagles’ offense was relentless and methodical, scoring consistently throughout the game, while their defense didn’t allow a single point.

SaRod Baker finished with 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

The victory marks DeSoto’s third win of the season, with all three wins by more than 35 points.

The homecoming festivities added to the excitement of the evening, with alumni and current students coming together to celebrate.

Despite recent concerns over safety due to threats, the event proceeded smoothly with increased security measures in place.

The DeSoto Eagles will look to build on this victory and continue their pursuit of a third straight state title on the field.

Their next game is scheduled for next Friday, where they will face off against Waxahachie at 7:00 p.m.
