The DeSoto Eagles soared to victory against the Waxahachie Indians this Friday, securing a 39-24 win and improving to 4-1 on the season.

Deondrae Riden Jr. was the standout player for DeSoto, rushing for an impressive 225 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

Averaging 10.7 yards per carry, Riden Jr’s dynamic play was instrumental in the Eagles’ victory.

Myson Johnson-Cook also made significant contributions, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns on just ten carries, showcasing the depth and versatility of DeSoto’s running game.

The Eagles’ ground game was unstoppable, totaling 352 rushing yards.

DeSoto quarterback Kelden Ryan finished the game completing 17 passes on 22 attempts for 218 yards and a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Waxahachie had notable performances from key players.

Quarterback Jerry Meyer III threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver Tristian Gardner racked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Waxahachie stayed competitive, but ultimately, could not overcome DeSoto’s relentless offense.

With this victory, DeSoto improves to 4-1.

The Eagles will have a week off before facing Duncanville on October 11th, a highly anticipated game that promises to be another exciting matchup.
