Residents of DeSoto get ready to celebrate one of the most highly anticipated cultural events of the year as the WAM24 Festival is coming to Grimes Park.
The Dallas Reggae Festival, a much-anticipated event celebrating reggae music and culture, has announced the lineup for its 2024 edition, dubbed WAM24.
The festival is set to take place from Oct. 18th to 20th at Grimes Park in DeSoto.
The venue is known for its spacious and accommodating layout, making it an ideal location for such a large-scale event
This year’s festival features an exciting array of both local and international reggae artists, promising three days of vibrant performances.
The festival kicks off Friday, October 18th with performances by the popular Common Kings, followed by Rik Jam and Dalwayne.
The acts are expected to set a high-energy tone for the festival, drawing in large crowds from the start.
Saturday, October 19th brings a star-studded lineup, including Fortunate Youth, Spawnbreezie, and Lutan Fyah.
Fans can also look forward to performances by Josh Heinrichs, Idoljob, and Don Diego Jazz.
The festival will close on Sunday, October 20th with performances by The Expendables, Aurorawave, and Tunnel Vision.
Other notable acts include Kyle Rising, Fyahstar, Ras Tumba, Sing Kumba, and Meu & Nufreedom.
