The DeSoto Police and Fire Departments have released their call volume and incident reports for the week of September 15 to September 21.
The DeSoto Police Department responded to a total of 2,358 calls during this period.
Neighborhood patrol calls were the most frequent, with 735 recorded instances followed by 419 directed patrol calls.
Business-related calls totaled 257, while there were 308 traffic-related calls.
Additionally, the department responded to 69 animal-related calls and 51 calls concerning suspicious activity.
Meanwhile, the DeSoto Fire Department reported various incidents during the same week.
The department responded to 180 rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) calls.
There were 3 good intent calls and 31 service calls.
Other incidents included nine false alarms and four hazardous condition responses.
There were no fire-related calls were reported during this timeframe.
