The Dallas Mavericks have unveiled MavsTV, the team’s new telecast platform for the 2024-25 NBA season.
Fans within the team’s local broadcast area will now have access to over 70 games, not nationally televised, for free over-the-air on WFAA Ch. 8 and KFAA Ch. 29.
The launch marks a significant shift in how local fans can watch their favorite team.
“We have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” said Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall.
“We are thrilled to offer multiple options for our fans who deserve seamless, enjoyable viewing experiences.”
Maverick’s fans across Texas and parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma can stream games through the NBA App, NBA.com, and other NBA-supported platforms.
This service will be available via a monthly subscription for $14.99 or a full-season pass for $124.99.
As an added incentive, fans who subscribe to a season pass will receive either a pair of tickets to an upcoming Mavericks game or a $75 Mavericks merchandise gift card, available while supplies last.
The first game on MavsTV will air on Saturday, Oct. 26, when the Mavericks face off against the Phoenix Suns.
A new MavsTV app is also set to launch later this season, offering game coverage, exclusive footage, and original on-demand content.
MavsTV boasts a seasoned broadcast team with more than 80 years of combined experience.
The lineup includes Mark Followill, Mavericks legends Derek Harper and Devin Harris, Dana Larson, Lesley McCaslin, and Jeff “Skin” Wade.
In addition to this core team, a rotation of guest analysts and Mavericks legends will join throughout the season.
Fans listening on the radio will hear Chuck Cooperstein on play-by-play and Brian Dameris on analysis for regular and postseason games on The Eagle 97.1 FM.
For Spanish-language broadcasts, Victor Villalba will call the games on Zona MX 99.1 FM.
Longtime Mavericks legend Brad Davis, who recently announced his retirement from radio broadcasts, will be missed after providing commentary since 1997.
