As the presidential election nears, early voting has begun and voters in Dallas County are reminded that Election Day is approaching on Tuesday, November 5.

While the voter registration deadline has passed, residents can still verify their voter registration status by visiting votetexas.gov or dallascountyvotes.org.

Early voting is currently underway and runs from October 21 through November 1.

In DeSoto, residents can take advantage of early voting at Disciple Central Community Church (DC3) located at 901 N. Polk St.

Voters can also find additional early voting and Election Day polling locations, as well as hours of operation, on dallascountyvotes.org.

For any questions, voters can contact the Dallas County Elections Department at 469-627-8683.

Dallas County voters are encouraged to cast their ballots early to avoid long lines on Election Day.

Registered voters can vote at any early voting location in the county.

The early voting schedule is as follows:

  • October 21-25: Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • October 26: Saturday, 7 AM – 7 PM
  • October 27: Sunday, 12 PM – 6 PM
  • October 28-November 1: Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 7 PM

For those voting on Election Day, polling places will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
