DeSoto continues to roll clinching a decisive win over Skyline, defeating the Raiders 70-38 to secure their third consecutive victory.

The win builds on DeSoto’s strong performances in previous games, including a commanding win over Cedar Hill in the Battle of Belt Line.

Against Cedar Hill, the Eagles outscored their cross-town rivals 63-24.

The Eagles got off to a hot start scoring their first touchdown on a 67-yard run by Sr. star running back Deondrae Riden Jr.

Riden Jr. finished the game with 211 yards on 13 carries and four touchdowns.

Sophomore standout Myson Johnson-Cook finished the game with nine carries and 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Sr. quarterback Keldan Ryan shined as he completed 87% of his passes going 21 out of 24 for 236 yards and three touchdowns.

The Eagles defense held strong, holding the Raiders to 38 points while forcing three turnovers and getting to the quarterback five times.

With the victory over Skyline, DeSoto improves to 7-2 on the season and 5-1 in district play on the road to winning a third consecutive state title.

To close out the regular season, the Eagles visit Lancaster to take on the Tigers.

Kick-off for the game begins at 7:30 p.m.
