The DeSoto Police and Fire Departments have released their call volume and incident reports for the week of Oct. 20 to Oct. 26.
The DeSoto Police Department responded to a total of 2,200 calls during this period.
Neighborhood patrol calls were the most frequent, with 690 recorded instances followed by 340 directed patrol calls.
Business-related calls totaled 280, while there were 303 traffic-related calls.
Additionally, the department responded to 63 animal-related calls and 58 calls concerning suspicious activity.
Meanwhile, the DeSoto Fire Department reported various incidents during the same week.
The Department reported 166 rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) incidents, marking the largest category of responses.
There were 17 false alarms, 12 service calls, and smaller numbers of responses related to fires, hazardous conditions, and explosions.
These reports provide a comprehensive overview of the public safety efforts in DeSoto.
