The City of DeSoto has announced the upcoming launch of “DeSoto on Ice,” a festive ice-skating rink set to open at the DeSoto Town Center.
This seasonal attraction will operate from Dec. 3, 2024, to Jan. 7, 2025, providing residents and visitors with an opportunity to enjoy ice skating during the holiday season.
This will be the second year the city has erected an ice-skating rink for the holidays.
The rink will be open daily, with adjusted hours on certain dates. Regular hours from December 3 to 21 are as follows:
- Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
- Friday: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
From December 22 to January 7, the hours will be extended:
- Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Monday to Thursday: 2:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Friday: 2:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 11:15 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The rink will be closed on December 24 and 25 for the holidays, with modified hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The city encourages skaters of all levels to participate, making the rink an inviting destination for both beginners and experienced skaters.
