Dr. Tiffany Clark to Be Sworn in as Texas Education Leader

Dr. Tiffany Clark, a DeSoto native and longtime advocate for equitable education and community empowerment, will be sworn in as a Texas State Board of Education member for District 13 on Jan. 13, 2025.

District 13 encompasses both Dallas and Tarrant counties.

The ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Belt Line Conference Center, 200 E. Belt Line Road, in DeSoto.

Community members are invited to attend the event, which marks a significant milestone in Clark’s career and her continued service to education in Texas.

Born and raised in DeSoto, Clark graduated from DeSoto High School. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on conflict resolution from Abilene Christian University.

Her career spans roles as a teacher, school counselor, adjunct professor, and trustee for the DeSoto Independent School District.

Clark’s commitment to education has been driven by a mission to amplify the voices of underserved communities and advocate for equitable access to learning resources.

Her election to the board underscores a growing emphasis on diverse representation in educational leadership.

Her leadership priorities include addressing educational disparities and promoting policies aimed at enhancing student success statewide.
