A man from Las Vegas has been sentenced to more than 21 years in federal prison for soliciting sexually explicit photographs from an eight-year-old girl, according to the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Chad Meacham.
Geovanny Davila Cisneros, 24, received a sentence of 262 months, or approximately 21 years and 10 months, from U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor.
Following his prison term, Cisneros will face 25 years of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Cisneros was indicted in Jan. 2024 and pleaded guilty to the charge of enticement of a child in April 2024.
Court documents reveal that he communicated with the young girl through text messaging and social media, complimenting her appearance and coercing her into sending sexually explicit photos.
The investigation into Cisneros involved a collaborative effort by the U.S. Secret Service’s Dallas Field Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Special Investigations Unit.
They received assistance from the Secret Service’s Las Vegas Field Office and the Las Vegas Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem, who emphasized the seriousness of the crime and the commitment of law enforcement to protect children from exploitation.
