The DeSoto Police and Fire Departments have released their call volume and incident reports for the week of Jan. 12 to Jan. 18.
The DeSoto Police Department responded to a total of 2,018 calls during this period.
Neighborhood patrol calls were the most frequent, with 645 recorded instances followed by 350 directed patrol calls.
Business-related calls totaled 265, while there were 242 traffic-related calls.
Additionally, the department responded to 41 animal-related calls and 45 calls concerning suspicious activity.
Meanwhile, the DeSoto Fire Department reported various incidents from Jan. 12 to Jan. 18.
The Department reported 143 rescue and emergency medical service (EMS) incidents, marking the largest category of responses.
There were 23 good intent calls, 10 false alarms, 13 service calls, 7 hazardous incidents, and three fire-related responses.
These reports provide a comprehensive overview of the public safety efforts in DeSoto.
