Two suspects are in custody following a home burglary in the early hours of Tuesday, March 4, after DeSoto police quickly responded to a break-in on Shasta Street.
At approximately 3 a.m., officers responded to the incident at the 600 block of Shasta Street after the homeowner reported that several masked individuals had attempted to enter his residence through the back door.
The suspects, who initially posed as a food delivery service at the front door, gained access to the backyard but fled after opening the back door.
The homeowner, who was monitoring his surveillance system, provided police with key details, including the suspect vehicle—a red Toyota Corolla.

During the investigation, officers recovered a handgun, cocaine, masks, and gloves from the vehicle.
Granados and Pumpelly were arrested and charged with burglary of habitation, a second-degree felony.
Additionally, Pumpelly faces charges for possession of cocaine and unlawful carrying of a firearm.
