A 57-year-old San Angelo man was sentenced Tuesday to 50 years in federal prison for posing as an 11-year-old child to coerce a 9-year-old girl into producing sexually explicit videos.
James Wilson pleaded guilty in December 2024 to the production and transportation of child pornography after being indicted in September.
U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendrix handed down the 600-month sentence and ordered Wilson to pay $106,500 in restitution to the victims.
Court documents revealed Wilson used a social media app to solicit at least two explicit videos from the 9-year-old victim.
He also admitted to possessing and distributing a video depicting a 10-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts.
During the investigation, Wilson confessed to law enforcement that he had downloaded and viewed child pornography for years.
His collection included content from multiple known child exploitation series, with victims from 13 of those series seeking restitution for trauma suffered from their abuse.
Wilson will serve his sentence in federal prison with no possibility of parole.
