DALLAS — Chuck E. Cheese, long known as a staple of family fun and children’s birthday parties, is leveling up its legacy with a new venture: Chuck’s Arcade™, a reimagined arcade concept geared toward adult gamers and lifelong fans.
Launched this summer with 10 locations across the U.S., Chuck’s Arcade blends retro classics with the latest gaming technology.
Gaming offerings include everything from Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga to Halo and immersive virtual reality titles.
The move marks a significant shift for the brand as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
“Chuck E. Cheese has spent decades mastering the arcade experience — it’s in our DNA,” said David McKillips, CEO of Chuck E. Cheese.
“Chuck’s Arcade is a natural evolution — an opportunity to extend our arcade legacy into new formats that engage both lifelong fans and a new generation through a curated mix of retro classics and cutting-edge experiences.”
Chuck’s Arcade locations have already opened in shopping malls in Florida, Connecticut, Oklahoma, New York, Georgia, Texas, New Hampshire, and Missouri, with more planned.
Each location features a unique mix of games, layout, and décor, with some showcasing nostalgic animatronic characters like Chuck E. Cheese himself and members of the iconic Munch’s Make Believe Band, now standing silent as tributes rather than performers.
The Kansas City, Missouri location stands out as a flagship site, combining the arcade with a full pizzeria and original artwork chronicling the history of Chuck E. Cheese.
While the new arcades aim to attract adults and gaming enthusiasts with modern attractions, the company says Chuck’s Arcade still honors its legacy with collectible prizes, retro-themed merchandise, and nods to the brand’s early days.
The move comes as Chuck E. Cheese continues expanding its licensing, content, and entertainment footprint globally.
