A full orchestra, a lineup of gospel legends, and cinematic storytelling will converge under one roof as the Black-Tie Cinematic Symphony opens its five-city national tour in Dallas on Friday, August 8.
The Dallas debut of the five-city tour will feature an 80-piece orchestra led by master conductor Leon Lacey and a lineup of renowned performers.
Leon Lacey, whose credits include collaborations with Beyoncé, The Clark Sisters, and various film and television projects, is known for merging classical performance with contemporary themes.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Black-Tie Cinematic Symphony to Dallas,” said conductor Leon Lacey. “Having worked on scores for film, television, and collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, I’m beyond excited to merge cinematic sounds with the genre of gospel, offering the audience an immersive, unforgettable experience.”
The performers include gospel legends Yolanda Adams and Israel Houghton, acclaimed actress Lisa Arrindell, and singer-songwriter Erika Nicole Johnson.
The evening will also include a special tribute to Linda Searight, founder of Dallas-based gospel choir God’s Property.
The Black-Tie Cinematic Symphony blends the grandeur of film scores with the soul of gospel music, offering audiences a fully immersive live concert experience.
The production combines orchestral arrangements with cinematic storytelling and has sold-out performances across the country in recent years.
Guests attending the Dallas event will be welcomed with a Black Carpet arrival, complete with appearances from national and local celebrities, community leaders, and interactive experiences leading into the performance.
Following the Dallas show, the tour will continue in South Los Angeles, The Valley, Atlanta, and New York City, bringing the cinematic gospel fusion to audiences nationwide.
