Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred late Thursday morning outside a bank in the 200 block of North Hampton Road, where an armored truck guard was assaulted and robbed while servicing an ATM.
According to DeSoto Police, the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. when two suspects approached the security guard and pepper-sprayed him before stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects then fled the scene in a white sedan driven by a third accomplice.
Authorities said the suspects remain at large.
Detectives and FBI agents were on the scene Thursday, collecting evidence and reviewing surveillance footage.
The condition of the guard was not immediately released, and police have not disclosed which bank was involved.
