DALLAS — Ekambar Kumar Singirikonda has been appointed to the board of directors of the Dallas County Appraisal District, where he will serve as a public representative involved in governance and long-term strategic decisions for the agency.
Singirikonda was sworn in during an oath ceremony held Dec. 10. His appointment has been formally confirmed by the appraisal district.
As a member of the board, Singirikonda will help oversee policies that guide property appraisal operations across Dallas County, including governance matters that affect taxpayers, local governments and school districts that rely on appraisal district valuations.
The board of directors sets policy for the appraisal district, appoints the chief appraiser and ensures compliance with state law.
Members are tasked with balancing public accountability with the technical and administrative demands of property appraisal in one of Texas’ most populous counties.
Singirikonda’s appointment adds to the board’s public representation as the district continues its work ahead of future appraisal cycles.
