With only four games left in the regular season, the DeSoto Lady Eagles continue to show their dominance, recently defeating the Waxahachie Indians at home 68-30.
Since their loss against nationally top-ranked Archbishop Mitty in late December, DeSoto has soared to new heights, garnering a 10-game winning streak.
Nine of those games are all district games, as the Lady Eagles are 9-1 in their district, having only lost to Duncanville in a close game 51-52.
But DeSoto avenged its only district loss, defeating the Lady Panthers 53-48 in thrilling fashion with senior guard Mylasia Smith’s clutch 3-pointer.
The Lady Eagles are one of the youngest teams in District 6A Div. II basketball and have not lost a game at home.
DeSoto will look to extend its winning streak heading into the last leg of the season and into the playoffs as they take on the Mansfield Legacy Broncos.
Tip-off begins at 6 p.m. at DeSoto High School.
