DeSoto ISD Eagle Band to Perform at Bandwave Band & Cheer Showcase

The DeSoto ISD Eagle Band is set to participate in the 2024 Bandwave Band and Cheer Showcase, an event organized by Mid-Southwest Entertainment.

The showcase will take place on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the DeSoto Eagle Stadium located next to DeSoto High School.  

The DeSoto Eagle Band is calling on the community to show their support by attending the event.

The showcase offers a platform for the band and cheer teams to display their talent and hard work.

Supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

The event promises to be a significant occasion for the DeSoto community, highlighting the school’s musical and cheerleading talents.

In July, the district announced the appointment of Carlton D. Cooper, as the new band director for the DeSoto High School Eagle Band program.

Cooper, a proud alumnus of Prairie View A&M University, served as the trumpet section leader and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a minor in Business Marketing.

 He is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band and holds a Master of Music Technology degree from Southern Utah University.

Tickets are available for presale at $15, and further details can be accessed on the official Mid-South West Entertainment website.
