The DeSoto Area Chamber of Commerce is calling on community-minded individuals to apply for open board positions for the upcoming 2025 term.
The Chamber is seeking motivated candidates who are passionate about serving the DeSoto community and contributing to the organization’s mission.
The Board Member position is a three-year term, running from January 2024 through December 2026.
Applicants must be members in good standing with the Chamber, meaning they are current on their annual membership dues.
Board members can expect to attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and participate in various Chamber-sponsored signature events.
The events include the State of the City, State of the District, Annual Golf Tournament, Chamber Gala, First Responders’ Events, and Taste of DeSoto.
Additionally, board members are encouraged to engage in City of DeSoto-sponsored events, Chamber ribbon cuttings, networking activities, and other Chamber functions.
While there is no financial obligation to serve on the board, the Chamber encourages board members or their businesses to sponsor one to two Chamber events each year.
Sponsorship can be through financial contributions, providing door or raffle prizes, or volunteering time.
Individuals interested in joining the board are invited to submit a letter of interest, a short biography, and a photo by September 13, 2024.
