A Dallas man was sentenced to 18 years in federal prison Monday for his role in a violent drug trafficking operation run out of a local hotel, federal prosecutors announced.
Kenneth Ray Peters, 44, was sentenced to 216 months in prison by Senior U.S. District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn after pleading guilty in January to conspiracy charges.
Peters and multiple co-defendants used rooms at the BuZen Suites Hotel on 2030 W. Northwest Highway to distribute fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and other drugs, according to court documents.
The conspiracy operated from 2022 until March 2023, with Peters and others running a 24/7 drug distribution hub inside the hotel.
Court records revealed that the group maintained a serving station in multiple rooms stocked with drugs, paraphernalia, and digital scales.
A security camera recorded daily activity, and co-conspirators were paid to package powdered fentanyl and prepare other drugs for sale.
Peters admitted that violent acts were routine, including beatings, pistol-whippings, and the burning of a female customer’s foot with a lighter after she overdosed in the room.
On April 19, 2023, law enforcement raided the hotel, seizing methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, counterfeit pills containing multiple drugs, and kilograms of marijuana.
Agents also recovered firearms, including an AK-47 and AR-15 rifle, body armor, and drug distribution tools.
Several co-defendants have already been sentenced:
- Derrick Alan Richardson: 54 months (December 2024)
- Antoine Thompson-Stevens: 108 months (January 2025)
- Keenan “King” Allen and Glenn “Slim” Blair: 240 months (March 2025)
- Corey Allen Jr.: 192 months (May 8, 2025)
