ARLINGTON, Texas — Shine Bright Christian Academy will open in January 2026, bringing a new faith-based early childhood education option to Arlington through a partnership with RAMP Church TX.
Founded by LaToyia Dennis and Dr. Patrice May, the private academy will serve children from eight weeks old through kindergarten, with plans to expand into additional grade levels in the future.
School leaders said the campus is designed to combine academic instruction with spiritual development and strong family engagement.
“We are honored to open the doors of Shine Bright Christian Academy,” Dennis said. “Our mission is to create a safe, loving, faith-filled environment where children learn, grow, and shine as who God designed them to be. This is more than a school, this is ministry, family, and community.”
The academy will offer full-day instruction centered on early literacy, purposeful play, STEAM learning and biblical education.

Administrators said the program is focused on helping students build confidence, character and social skills while establishing a strong academic foundation.
May said the school’s approach is rooted in both education and faith. “Today, we open a place where the light of God’s Word shines, nurturing education, building character, and a joy for learning in every child,” she said.
Shine Bright Christian Academy will operate in partnership with RAMP Church TX, led by Pastor Evan Risher, who said the collaboration aligns with the church’s mission to support families and children in the community.
“We are excited to welcome Shine Bright Christian Academy to RAMP Church TX, creating a safe, faith-filled environment where children are empowered to learn, lead, and shine,” Risher said. He described the opening as “a prophecy fulfilled and divine assignment—raising up the next generation to know God, walk boldly in their calling, and reflect the light of Christ in every place they go.”
The academy will include infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms, along with before- and after-school care and year-round programming.
Additional offerings include daily parent communication through Brightwheel, STEAM-based learning experiences, biblical and character development lessons, and meals such as breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Enrollment is currently open for January 2026. Families are invited to tour the school, meet teachers and explore scholarship opportunities.
A public ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Jan. 5 at 10 a.m., followed by tours of the facility.
