DeSoto police are asking for the public’s help identifying three suspects accused of robbing a person at gunpoint during a Facebook Marketplace transaction.
The robbery happened about 2:45 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 700 block of East Pleasant Run Road, according to the DeSoto Police Department.
Police said the victim had arranged a Facebook Marketplace exchange when three unknown suspects reportedly robbed the victim at gunpoint.
One suspect was described as a thin Black male with dreadlocks who was wearing a black beanie or ski mask, a light gray long-sleeve shirt and checkered pajama pants.
Police said the other two suspects were wearing hoodies, one black and one yellow.
The suspects also stole the victim’s vehicle during the robbery, according to police. The vehicle was later found abandoned nearby.
Investigators said the robbery appears to be an isolated incident.
No additional details were given about what was being exchanged through Facebook Marketplace or if any property other than the vehicle was taken have been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
