GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — The 2026 SHEF Food + Wine Festival brought celebrity chefs, North Texas restaurants, local businesses and aspiring culinary professionals together for three days at EpicCentral.
The third annual festival, held Oct. 9-11, was presented by chef Tiffany Derry and Thomas Foley, co-founders of T2D Concepts. More than 40 chefs, restaurateurs and culinary personalities participated throughout the weekend.
The lineup included Carla Hall, Duff Goldman, Kristen Kish, Nyesha Arrington, Kevin Bludso and other nationally known culinary figures.
North Texas businesses were also featured, including Smokey John’s BBQ, Zavala’s Barbecue, Roots Chicken Shak, Breakfast Brothers and Cookie Society.
Guests sampled a wide range of dishes, from barbecue and Southern cuisine to seafood, desserts and internationally influenced offerings.
The festival also placed an emphasis on student development.
Students from Mansfield ISD participated in the event, gaining exposure to professional chefs and the pace of a large-scale culinary festival.
Young participants connected with the Navigate Foundation traveled from Georgia to take part as well.
The nonprofit provides culinary training, mentorship, professional development and career preparation for students and young adults.
A portion of festival proceeds benefits Roots Impact, which supports culinary education, workforce development and scholarships.
The weekend featured several signature events, including the Sno Social, The First Bite, chef panels, a pickleball tournament and the Grand Tasting.
The festival concluded Sunday with Sunday Best: The SHEF Gospel Explosion, combining brunch and gospel music.
Three years into its run, SHEF has grown into more than a chef showcase. The festival also highlights local businesses and gives students opportunities to learn directly from professionals in the hospitality industry.
