Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left multiple people injured early Wednesday in DeSoto.
According to the DeSoto Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting around 12:30 a.m. in the 900 block of North Hampton Road.
Authorities said several individuals were shot in the parking lot of a local business.
First responders secured the scene and provided medical aid before transporting victims to area hospitals. The conditions of those injured have not been released.
Investigators said the case remains active as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday morning.
Police said they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the public but are asking residents to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
